Fallbrook Guitar Company
About Us

Welcome to the cyber shop of Fallbrook Guitar Company. My name is Shannon and I am a luthier. I have an uncontrollable desire to create and repair guitars and other stringed instruments. My passion for guitars started when I was about 10 years old playing air guitar with Glen Buxton (Alice Cooper Band), Martin Barre (Jethro Tull), Johnny Winter and Rick Derringer tearing it up on vinyl, most of which I still have, listening and learning. A few years later I inherited an old trunk from my great uncle full of woodworking tools that would spark my interest in carpentry. After playing around with the tools not really knowing what to do with them I started building small projects in the garage and learning what they all did. My knowledge grew slowly until I attended our local Jr College where I studied basic cabinetry and my world expanded by leaps and bounds. In 1989 I decided to take my love for woodworking and love for guitars and combine them and started playing around with my first guitar projects. In 1992 after much rejection and bad information from people on the local scene, I met the person that would affirm what I had thought all along, I can do this! With his help and guidance I gained an understanding of stringed instruments and an appreciation for what it takes to create them. Now 18 years later my friend and mentor Dan Altilio at Top Gear Guitar Pro Shop is still teaching me, collaborating on projects and challenging me to move forward.

In the early 90's I also did some prototype and production work for Steve Azola, Azola Music Products, on his original Baby Bass Project. Although we are not associated anymore, I did learn 3 important lessons from him, patience, strive for perfection and most importantly, Elvis is cool. Thanks Steve!

Over the years I have worked as a part time repair tech and builder, making custom instruments along with other endeavors that kept me busy in the woodshop. After a short stint in the landscaping industry as a designer and project manager, it was time to make my love of woodworking and guitars a full time occupation. I opened a shop in my home town of Fallbrook, CA. a year ago and have received an extremely warm welcome from the musicians in the community. I look forward to serving the local music community for many years to come and will continually strive to offer a variety of quality services to the working musician
Thanks for coming by,

The great music on my site was graciously provided by Steve Burns and The Burnsville Band from
their new award winning CD "Give Me A Job". Please go to their website, burnsvilleband.com and help
support the local blues scene. Thanks!
